A Few Tips on Purchasing the Essential Wardrobe Pieces

I am sure we could all agree that if we had the funds and flexibility we would buy pretty much anything we wanted. for some, this is a reality, for others (including me) - not so much.

When choosing the right garments to purchase, it is a wise to be selective, ensuring that you are making the best decisions. Making these choices will help you stay within your wardrobe budget and keep you focused on the items that are essential versus those that are just for lust.

Consider these four factors:

Numero Uno . Separate needs from wants

Wants can persuade you to fill a closet with garments you seldom wear. Selecting pieces that will get multiple wears are a great invest, especially if the garment is in the double, or triple digits.

Numero Dos. Select appropriate clothes for your lifestyle

Example: students wear casual clothing, where as professional workers wear business clothing. Though I see some of the cutest casual wear in my online shopping adventures, my day to day life does not reflect crop tops and bell bottom jeans. I aim to claim pieces that I can maximize in a professional and casual setting.

Numero Tres. Consider the climate that you live in

Are you likely to grab a pair of shades, a pair of rain boots, or if you live in Los Angeles, both ? Lol . Though I am a native of the city of angles, I currently live in Arizona. Let me tell you - the desert is truly a diva. The spring and summer months can be very grueling, while the fall and winter months can be beautiful but ever so moody. I like to have a nice variety of garments that can be layered in those colder months, so that I can shed those layers when the sun comes back in full effect.

Numero Cuatro . Determine what kinds of clothes meet your approval

Not really into culottes? Who says you have to have a pair? Don’t waste time buying into trends that are not flattering to your body type. Instead, feel comfortable filling your closet with clothes that show off your best assets.
