This has been a seasonal tradition that I have practiced to always have a clear idea of what my options are for the upcoming season. Find out my rhyme and reason for this purposeful preparation chore.
What is a wardrobe?
A person’s entire collection of clothes (for extra credit, it is also a piece of furniture in which clothing is stored).
What does conducting a wardrobe inventory mean ?
Conducting a wardrobe inventory means that you are taking stock of all of the clothing, accessories and shoes that you own.
** for bonus points **
Create a “donate” and “discard” or “repurpose” box for items that no longer fit well or have lost their luster.
How is it helpful ?
Having an idea of what is in your closet doesn’t compare to know exactly what you have in your closet. This can eliminate buying garments that are alike, keeping items that you just haven't worn in ages (or at all), and knowing exactly what pieces you need to purchase to have your ideal options .

Now here is how to do it in six steps …
* Make detailed list of every wearable garment you own (don’t forget accessories!)
* Set specific goals
* Make list of new clothes you need to buy
* Replace worn clothes
* Update your wardrobe
* Add accessories
